The blog will keep users up-to-date on the latest developments and focus. A forum will soon be installed to allow future-users to start trading seeds & plants. We plan on using member profiles to allow feedback between users. Imagine the architecture & methods of E-trade, eBay, Digg, and Wikipedia combined to create a fully transparent product-based exchange.
We will be primarily stressing trading seeds 1-for-1 for FREE (no transaction costs) in order to help spread the various plant genetics worldwide. A catalog of seed distributors will be provided by Seed Trade once viable quality suppliers are located.

The above article describes the “doomsday vault,” which will protect millions of seeds in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. It made me wonder, why can’t all local communities have a “doomsday vault”?
This website will serve as a project planning manager and facilitator to attempt the impossible feat of distributing the majority of plant varieties worldwide to local communities, big and small, in 3rd world nations to 1st world industrial super powers.
